The ISMA, the Indiana Immunization Coalition and four other organizations, have partnered to learn more about immunization practices in the state. The information will be used to develop educational activities, and create future initiatives and services for Indiana residents.

“Indiana’s immunization landscape is changing,” noted Sarah Strawbridge, executive director of the Indiana Immunization Coalition. “Access and affordability of immunizations for the lifespan are impacted as health care reform evolves and new policies take place. Therefore, it is essential that medical providers, pharmacists and public health professionals work together to ensure access and affordability are not threatened.”

You are encouraged to take the 10-minute survey that addresses:

  • Immunizations you provide
  • Required/recommended immunizations in your office
  • Barriers you face in offering immunizations
  • Your utilization of Indiana’s immunization registry (CHIRP)
  • Training opportunities available to you concerning immunization management

“The Indiana Immunization Coalition is honored to work with the ISMA on this project,” commented Strawbridge. “We have been collaborating for months on how our two organizations can work together to ensure our members are up to date on immunization practices. This assessment will aid us in the development of future CME/CNE events and services.”

The Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, the Indiana Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics, the Indiana Pharmacists Alliance and the Indiana Public Health Foundation also are participating in the effort.
