The AMA has developed three new educational activities that may give you fresh ideas on ways to discuss healthy lifestyles with your patients. As a bonus, the resources offer continuing medical education credits.

Available online, the two videos and a detailed monograph can help you:

  • Initiate a conversation with patients
  • Understand why patients backslide in lifestyle choices
  • Learn how to encourage children to eat healthy and choose physical activity

“By using these tools, physicians will gain a better understanding of why patients make unhealthy decisions,” explained AMA President Peter W. Carmel, M.D. “These easy-to-use tools will give physicians the information they need to effectively promote healthy choices to their patients so that families can successfully adopt healthy lifestyles together.”

Each activity has been certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for continuing medical education (CME).
