If you have an electronic health records (EHR) system, consider including the ISMA’s post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) screening form in your database.

The 17-question evaluation tool was developed by the ISMA, ISMA Alliance and the Military Family Research Institute of Purdue University. It can help you diagnose, treat and refer patients, especially military members and their families who may be experiencing stress disorders.

By including the document in your EHR, your staff and other clinicians will have easy access to a standardized form.

Find the free screening tool and other resources on the ISMA website.
