Committee action on House and Senate bills ended last week and each chamber now moves to consider committee passed bills. This week is the deadline for bills to pass out of either the House or Senate in order to remain viable for this legislative session.
The next step in the process, once this deadline passes, will be for those bills that were altered during the second half of session to be reconciled in conference committees.
The ISMA continues to work on HB 1055 – Assignment of Benefits and other legislation impacting patients and the practice of medicine.
