With one month remaining in the 2008 Indiana General Assembly, many committees met last week and will continue to meet this week, up to the committee report deadline of Feb. 20.
The ISMA continues to work on HB 1055 – Assignment of Benefits and SB 159 – Third Party Health Service Agreements (Silent PPOs) to ensure passage. HB 1055 continued to be vigorously opposed by the major insurance companies and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
