ICD-9-CM Coding
This is a comprehensive "hands-on" ICD-9-CM seminar that covers the symbols, punctuation and guidelines for physician offices. It includes neoplasm, cardiovascular, pregnancy complications and "V" codes with practical exercises throughout the day. Included is an overview and preparation for ICD-10-CM.
At the end of this program, you should be able to:
- Define ICD-9-CM
- Describe conventions of ICD-9-CM coding
- Understand why complete and accurate coding is important
- Learn common errors in physician coding
- Show medical necessity for services rendered in the office
