ICD-10-CM: Getting Started for Staff - Phase 2**
This program covers the guidelines for ICD-10-CM for physician-based
practices. It compares and
contrasts ICD-9-CM codes with ICD-10-CM codes, allowing coders to
begin the transition into the new
coding system. The program includes assisting practices in preparing
their own codes for their
practices towards the 10-1-13 implementation date. All chapters of
ICD-10-CM will be reviewed.
Objectives:
- Prepare coders for the transition into ICD-10-CM.
- Assist coders in becoming familiar with the guidelines and format of ICD-10-CM Volumes 1, 2 and 3
- Practice coding from all chapters of ICD-10-CM
