Presented by: Barbara J. Hohenstein, RN, CCS, CCS-P, FCS, PCS, CPT and
Pat Schmitter, CPC, CPC-I

Office staff are welcome to attend ICD-10-CM Coding for Physicians seminars, however presenters will not address the detailed pathophysiology that many staff may need to code to the level of specificity required by ICD-10-CM.  ICD-10-CM: Getting Started for Staff – Phase 2 seminars will begin in September.  Staff training specific to your specialty will begin in early 2013.

During this live lecture, physicians will become acquainted with the disease categories and specific changes for their practice specialty in preparation for ICD-10-CM and the transition from ICD-9-CM. They will review during the session how to improve and communicate disease or symptoms into ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM codes according to the specific physician based guidelines from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Included in this session is an open question and answer period as well as a workbook with useful tools to implement into their practices immediately.
