The 2017 President’s Night Dinner will feature the music of the Peterson/Dunn Project, fronted by ISMA member John C. Peterson, MD, of Muncie. Dr. Peterson’s long musical career includes membership in the Pete Klint Quintet, which toured with Sonny and Cher and opened for The Beach Boys and The Doors, and whose 1967 Mercury Records release “Walkin’ Proud” reached the Billboard Top 100.

Dr. Peterson also owned Doc’s Music Hall in Muncie, where Peterson/Dunn Project was the house band. The story of the longtime venue is chronicled in the documentary, “Giving up the Ghosts: Closing Time at Doc’s Music Hall.” His memoir is titled “True Life Adventures of Captain WaWah.”
