Legislators begin meeting in January for the 2019 session of the Indiana General Assembly. ISMA members can take part in this important area of government by volunteering as physician of the day.

Those who volunteer will meet their state legislators and treat lawmakers and their staffs for any minor ailments that arise. It’s also a chance to observe the legislative process, which affects how physicians practice medicine.

Signing up early for this one-day commitment will ensure your spot. Physicians are needed every weekday except Friday in January and March, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Participants must be comfortable performing basic CPR.
