Resources
ISMA provides a variety of resources for physicians. Click on the tabs above to learn more.

The ISMA Physician Assistance Program provides physicians with consultation, screening, referral and case management, as needed, for substance use and mental health disorders, behavioral issues, and physical illnesses. The program is supported by a physician consultant and staffed by two licensed clinical social workers and an administrative assistant. Our Doctor Your Spirit web pages contain articles and links to podcasts, assessments and other aids to help physicians facing challenges in the areas of burnout, wellness and civility.

Insurance. ISMA-sponsored medical and dental insurance plans are specifically designed for ISMA members and their spouses, to provide better-than-market benefits at an affordable cost for all.

Recognition and financial aid. Members may nominate candidates for two annual awards, one for a physician committed to increasing awareness of domestic violence in Indiana and one for a non-physician who has contributed to the health and welfare of Hoosier patients. We also sponsor an award given each year to a student leader at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and are working on providing scholarships both there and at Indiana University School of Medicine.

News and information. Our monthly ISMA Reports and twice-monthly e-Reports keep members up-to-date on news, trends and laws important to medical practice in Indiana. When the Indiana General Assembly is in session, the weekly Legislative News tracks bills that affect physicians and reports on what ISMA's Government Relations staff is doing to make sure Indiana remains a favorable place to practice.
