We believe strong advocacy is vital to improving the future of health care for Hoosiers. As up and coming leaders of health care on the front lines of medicine, residents and fellows have a unique perspective on patient care, physician well-being and our health system in general.
Translating residents’ and fellows’ insights into improvements in policy is essential to ensuring a better future for health care. With the rapid changes occurring in health care, it is imperative that our physicians in training become involved in the advocacy process. This will ensure that Indiana remains a favorable state for practicing medicine and that Hoosiers have access to quality physician-led care. We hope you share our goals and will help us in developing the next generation of physician leaders and advocates!

ANNOUNCING A NEW POSITION! ISMA-RFS is seeking a representative from every residency program in every specialty in Indiana to serve as a
Resident Program Liaison. The goal is to build a community of advocates to demonstrate that our voices regarding Hoosier medical matters are important, valued and acted upon.
Liaisons will spend roughly two hours a month sharing ISMA information with their program members, directors and coordinators. They’ll also share colleagues’ insights on issues affecting patients and the practice of medicine with the ISMA.
